Install and Demob project Documentation

A Top Five Construction Company (ENR 2016 ratings) utilizing SVP to showcase their Project.

In the summer of 2013 Sherman Video was hired to document the demobilization and installation of new multi-million dollar ship-loading equipment at a major grain loading facility on the Mississippi River. Crews from a major construction company worked around the clock to insure the project was delivered on-time and in a safe manner. This mini-documentary demonstrates some of the highlights of the project as well as the best practices implemented in order to meet the tight schedule and difficult working conditions.

Crude Expansion Project documentary

Port Arthur, TX

Sherman Video was hired to produce several documentary-style videos depicting the major accomplishments from a world-class construction project at a refinery in Port Arthur, TX.  At the time (2009 - 2012), the construction project was the largest job site in terms of manpower in the United States. Following the completion of the project the refinery would nearly double it's output of fuel and fuel products making it the largest refinery in the United States. This abbreviated video demonstrates some of the creative and engaging writing and productions skill employed by Sherman Video under an extremely tight schedule and challenging workplace environment.

Motiva’s Crude Expansion Project in Port Arthur, Texas.

A multi-year and multi-million dollar media project focused on keeping crews engaged, informed and safe.

An attempt to communicate clearly and effectively to the nearly 15-thousand workers at Motiva's Crude Expansion Project led to the inception of a weekly TV newscast from within the refinery. Taylor Made Concepts (Parrish Taylor) initially sold the refinery on the idea of the TV program back in 2009. That fall, Taylor enlisted the help of Launch Media (John Jackson) of Baton Rouge, La. to help set-up and run the video portion of the "Reward and Recognition" Program. The rest as they say...is history. The weekly TV show did in fact help lower the number of incidents and safety issues at the refinery - eventually so much so that MOTIVA/SHELL classified the project as "World Class" in terms of safety.

Staying focused on the job at hand

CEP Weekly Safety Newscast

A segment of the weekly Safety Newscast that was disseminated to the thousands of workers at a major refinery in Port Arthur, TX. This particular segment was our "Man on the Street" segment and entailed engaging workers out in the field. This particular segment was shot and produced just prior to the Christmas and New Year's Holidays. Again, the whole premise was to engage and highlight workers and find out how they were able to maintain focus despite outside distractions.
